Doubting Thomas has been a favorite of mine since my home church in Bath NY is named for him.
I always have thought he was overly criticized.
It’s OK to question. Without questioning there can be no progress. If something seems impossible it is alright to have some confirmation. However, even scripture, tradition, reason, and experience may not be enough. Sometimes our faith in them is good . Sometimes not so much. We need to be open to new information, or reasoning etc.
Star Trek has given us things to explore and create. Many of things, like automatic doors were first seen as possibilities on the show.
Science dismisses the idea that Heaven is up. However, I like to think the idea of parallel universe as a good description of heaven.
