It’s seems I entered another sphere
Where mirrored lights spin far and near
Where children roll around the floor
And I keep looking at the door
Air hockey slaps and players cheer
While raucous music assaults the ear
I’m glad I only came to retrieve
My grandson who didn’t want to leave
A skating rink is fun for many
Not this old man I am not ready
For rolling round nor forte sounds
Nor screaming kids or falling down
