November 21 1Peter 18-9

November 21 1Peter 18-9 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Years ago I went by myself to learn Spanish in Guatemala. It was for me a big adventure and a bit fearful. Not only was I out of the country but separated from my wife for the first time for more than a week. Upon arriving I wasn’t even able to make a connection by phone. I was able to send a telegraph.

My wife was very loving about it. She had written a card to me for each day of the trip and packed them in my suitcase without my knowledge. Though We could not communicate I felt very much connected to her love.

When I arrived back in the states I kissed the ground; I was so happy to be back in the USA. Now imagine how happy she was to see me. My telegram didn’t arrive until the day after I got home! We both were over joyed to be back together.

How much more will be our joy when we meet Jesus face to face
