December 24. Luke 2:16-20

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

There is n old wise saying – You will find the treasure (gold, meaning, value, etc) in the place you least want to look. The savior of the world is first found in a humble stable lying in a manger with straw.

I would not have guessed I’d find my most passion for ministry in prisons! Yet it is in these dark places I have experienced the most powerful movements of the Holy Spirit!

As Christmas comes again remember it is not in the glitter and lights but in the humble manger that Jesus comes. Let that be the manger of our hearts.

Where will you find Jesus this Christmas?
