What will I say when our world falls apart
Let me go back to the place where I start
Let me go back and try it again
Maybe I’ll land somewhere else in the end
Returning is not a choice we can make
Those times and places are not ours to take
Instead we pick up the pieces and then
Not do the same things all over again
Forgive ourselves and others as well
Amend what is wrong as best we can tell
Make a new plan and proceed as we can
Find meaning in stepping forward again
