Aging Gracefully

This is a poem about Aging Gracefully. I hope you enjoy it.

Friends and I have noted changes
How our conversations ranges
Younger, girls inspired our sharing
Age turned talk to bodies wearing

Now we find that conversation
Turns to hospitalization
Oh we share ’bout other things
Sports and politician zings

Crime and what’s the latest scandal
What our wallets now can handle
How our lives progress this week
Much of it now tongue in cheek

All the while we try to laugh
Bout our lives and better halves
What we still would like to do
If our bodies see us through

And we hope at least to be
Able to control our pee
