Cheerful

I am proud to be an Eagle Scout so I thought I’d write a poem for each of the 12 “ A Scout is…..number 8 is Cheerful 

Cheerful differs from the rest 

For it’s a feeling at it’s best

Hard to fake if we are sad

Feelings are not good or bad

An Optimistic point of view

Will help one face the day a new

While trust that God is in control

Will lesson pessimism’s hold

Try looking at the world with eyes

That seek for blessings in disguise

They will turn a frown up right

To see the beauty in plain sight

A smile and twinkling eye conveys

The hope that will within us say

You too can have a better day

If cheerful in this way you stay
