I am proud to be an Eagle Scout so I thought I’d write a poem for each of the 12 “ A Scout is…..” The Fifth is Courteous
Courteous
Excuse me please it’s what you say
When going past another’s way
Or when you belch or pass some gas
If somehow it escapes your a…. (my apologies)
Please and thank you always use
It’s long for “minding ps and qs”
Don’t butt in while others talk
Listen and don’t watch the clock
Pay attention to other’s space
Keep your distance face to face
Respect the boundaries others set
Politeness is your safest bet
Gentlemen and gentle ladies
Be so gentle with the babies
Children learn from watching you
Courtesy is nothing new
