Doing the dishes is a chore
Whenever done seems there’s more
Empty the sink and think it’s done
Turn around you’ve just begun
Hard enough for just us two
What’s a large household ever do
Don”t mean to complain. It does no good
At least we have food and so we should
Happy to be so well supplied
There’s plenty without a dish outside
So though I moan and groan away
Thank God the sink is full today
