Folk music is my favorite choice
It’s where I learned to use my voice
Playing round the Scout Campfire
Singing in the High School choir
Yes we watched top forty shows
Ed Sullivan, Perry Como, with Dino
Frank, Sammy, And Nat King Cole
Tony Bennet still sings though old
Sing along with Mitch was grand
Hootenanny and American Bandstand
No real need for a music station
Variety shows played across the nation
Before I new it Elvis was big
The Beatles did there premier gig
And yet my favorites were the likes of these
Peter, Paul, and Mary did me please
Along with Dillan, and Pete Seeger
Joan Biaz, where the Grass was greener
Leon Bibb my all time hero
Now is singing with Son in stereo
Ok my tastes do vary
Church hymns and contemporary
Southern Gospel and Gather Trio
Now in Louisiana songs of the Bayou
