I am proud to be an Eagle Scout so I thought I’d write a poem for each of the 12 “ A Scout is…..” The Third is Helpful
Helpful
When asked we do not shrug nor moan
More likely help all on our own
We see a need and step right in
Right where we are we do begin
Two questions I was thought to ask
When seeing even little tasks
If not me who is question one
If not now when will it be done
From washing dishes in the sink
Or offering a soothing drink
Maybe pick up trash or litter
Wash the dog or be a sitter
Volunteer at church or school
Teach a class or guard a pool
Donate food or even blood
Aid those who survive a flood
Collate paper sort the mail
Write a letter to one in jail
Many many are the ways
Others we can help today
