March 22 Psalm 9:10
“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
This verse is a powerful statement of faith in God’s character and reliability. To “know God’s name” is more than just being aware of a title—it means understanding who God is: His justice, mercy, faithfulness, and love. Those who truly know Him respond by placing their trust in Him, especially in times of trouble.
The second line offers deep reassurance: God does not abandon those who seek Him. It’s a promise rooted in relationship. Seeking God isn’t just about desperate prayers; it’s a posture of the heart, a life oriented toward Him. The psalmist reminds us that God honors that pursuit with His faithful presence.
Personal Reflection:
This verse invites us to ask: Do I truly know His name? Do I trust Him as He has revealed Himself? In seasons of uncertainty or pain, this verse steadies the soul: if we seek Him, He is there. Always.
Today our Kairos group will be able to go to the prison for the first time since COVID. it has been a long wait. What has helped through the wait is what Kairos actually means? It is God’s time. When I can believe this it helps me endure the waiting. I can trust that His purpose will be in the wiring time as it will today in the visit!
For what do you trust the Lord?
