I am proud to be an Eagle Scout so I thought I’d write a poem for each of the 12 “ A Scout is…..number 9 is Thrifty
Thrifty
When money is a main concern
It’s best beware as you can burn
Much faster than you ever earn
So take a care and quickly learn
A penny saved old Ben did say
Is true right now as in his day
So pay yourself make savings grow
And be prepared come rain or snow
Waste not want not also true
Be careful with the things you use
Scraps of fabric a quilt can make
The extra flour could bake a cake
And just perhaps it might be good
To use less words if just you could
Be thrifty with the things you say
So not to eat them another day
